9 a.m.–11 a.m. Parents/Professional Questions and Answers- Project LINK’s exclusive series is back.
Please bring or send in your questions on the registration form and they will be addressed.

11 a.m.–2 p.m. The research is in! For the first time Dr. Partington will be presenting his research on
typically developing children tracked by the ABLLS®-R. Age ranges, norms, averages
and means for every skill area have been calculated and will be released in journals soon.
Be the first to see how your child compares!

2 p.m. –4 p.m. The imitative repertoire, the research, the needs and importance of developing this critical
area for a child’s success. Practical strategies will be explored to ensure participants have
the tools to enhance their child’s learning

Programming and Teaching in the Natural Environment-
Parents, educators and providers often have difficulty determining how to transfer skills into everyday
settings. This workshop has been redesigned with new video, enhanced strategies for teaching with
critical programming elements that will provide the participants with solid teaching practice in everyday
settings. Participants will view, analyze and learn from various school, home and community settings.

Preliminary Research Findings for Typically Developing Children using the ABLLS®-R is in!
As the ABLLS®-R continues to be the premiere assessment tool of choice, Dr. Partington and his colleagues have now begun to release some of their research on the development of the skills measured in the ABLLS®-R demonstrated by typically developing children worldwide. A sample of this important research can now be found at www.webablls.com.

Learner Profiles
We continue to have many successful Learner Profiles in our clinic in Walnut Creek, CA and would like to extend an invitation to any family who wishes to participate in this service. Dr. Partington and a consultant work one on one with your family to identify the child’s existing skills and identify those skills in need of development. From this analysis of skills, we create individualized program recommendations for the child and teach the parents how they can help their child learn these important new skills. Summer 2010 trainings and 1:1 clinic sessions

WORKSHOPS: Behavior Analysts, Inc. 2009 Summer Training Series

Workshop hours are as follows:
8:30am- 9:00am - Registration
9:00am – 4:00pm – Workshop
12:00pm -1:00pm - Lunch break (lunch is not provided)
These workshops are designed to provide effective strategies to professionals, parents and specialists working with these children. Participants will gain knowledge on many different topics including how to teach skills in the natural environment, how to design and implement programs using the ABLLS-R, and how to teach higher level language learners.

Registration is accepted on a first come first serve basis. Seating is limited.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009: Solutions to Challenging Tasks! A Framework for Classroom and Home Program Management from Start to Finish
Presenter: Holli Henningsen, MA, BCBA
This workshop is designed for parents and educators who are struggling to start up and manage an ABA program in the classroom or home. Participants will be able to locate resources to guide them, learn how to get started with a classroom and home program, specify essential information to be included in a program binder, and how to manage a data collection system.
Wednesday, August 5, 2009: Introduction to the ABLLSTM-R/ WebABLLS
Presenter: Carmen Martin, MS
This workshop is highly recommended for educators, parents and professionals who would like introductory information on the ABLLSTM-R and have not had extensive experience with this assessment. Participants will be able to identify essential skills to score and interpret the ABLLSTM-R, perform skill analyses to determine a child’s strengths and weaknesses, utilize assessment results for evaluating priorities, determining IEP objectives, and developing curricula.
Thursday, August 6, 2009: The Power of Positive Facilitation (for Teacher’s Assistants, Aides, Parents, and Caregivers)
Presenter: Holli Henningsen, MA, BCBA
This workshop is for tutors, classroom aides, educators, parents, and family members interacting with children with autism on a regular basis. Participants will be able to identify Autism Spectrum Disorders, specify elements to motivate learners, identify teaching procedures to shape behaviors, and learn how to teach in the natural environment.
Friday, August 7, 2009: Introduction to Behavior and Functional Behavior Assessments
Presenter: Carmen Martin, MS
This workshop is for parents and educators struggling with problem behaviors in the home and classroom. Participants will be able to identify basic behavioral principles used to analyze behavior, learn how to observe behaviors, learn how to increase appropriate behavior, and learn how to use simple data collection.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday- August 10-12, 2009: Teaching Language to Children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities
Presenter: Holli Henningsen, MA, BCBA and Melissa Brown
This workshop is designed for parents, educators, tutors, and aides working with children with autism in an ABA and/or verbal behavior program. Participants will be able to identify examples of verbal operants, identify methods for developing and maintaining motivation, identify effective data collection, and how to teach children both in the classroom and in the natural environment.
Thursday, August 13, 2009: Teaching Advanced Verbal Behavior (CEUs available)
Presenter: James W. Partington, PhD, BCBA-D
This workshop is designed for parents and educators with children who have acquired basic language skills (requesting & labeling), but who have not acquired more advanced language. Participants will be able to identify advanced verbal operants, select advanced language goals for their child, learn how to teach advanced language skills.
Friday, August 14, 2009: Beyond the ABLLS-RTM-Models for Inclusion (CEUs available)
Presenter: James W. Partington, PhD, BCBA-D and Nissa Intarachote, MA, BCBA
This workshop is for parents, aides, tutors, & educators who have a child with autism in an inclusive setting or contemplating an inclusive placement. Participants will be able to identify prerequisites for inclusion, specify goals to work on in an inclusive setting, learn how to modify a curriculum, view demonstrations of readiness skills.
